When swapping between a 7.5" rear end and an 8.8", are the control arms the same between the two, or do they need to be changed? I've never been under an 8.8" equipped car for reference.

Whenever I've seen this mod done, the trailing arms were swapped along with the rearend as a complete unit. not sure if it's a mandatory thing or if it was just easier to swap everything at once...boxed control arms seem to also be a popular upgrade when swapping rearend as well.

Hello
The only part that is different is the Center section.
I have swaped from a 8.8 to 7.5 one week & back again the following week. I was trying a different gear ratios.
The axles will even fit. If you plan the race Or drive hard you should upgrade your axles. even if you don't change the center section.
I would go to the SC axles for the 8.8 heavier duty axles.
I went from 3.73's(7.5)to 3.90's(8.8) to 4.10's(7.5) bact to 3.90's I still use the V-6 axles in my Oval track car, 1990 Thunderbird. Factory Stock division.
